The Recovery Stack

Optional. Advanced. Not required to fast, and deliberately not on the front page.

Read this first

You do not need any of this to complete a fast. Water, salt and the discipline to stop are enough, and the rest of this site is written on that basis. The one supplement we consider genuinely non-negotiable is electrolytes, and that is covered on the protocol page.

What follows is a different question: once the fast is over, is there anything worth taking during recovery? Our sister store, Cellular Science, stocks four products from Abeytu´ Naturals that sit in that window.

Where our interest lies, plainly

These are not our products. Autophagy Labs makes one thing — the Fasting Salts. The four below are made by Abeytu´ Naturals and happen to be sold by the same store. We describe the physiological window each one is aimed at and then send you to the product page, because the claims about what they do are theirs to make and substantiate, not ours to repeat.

Why fasting and these overlap at all

An extended fast is not a cleanse — it is a period in which the body switches fuel source and steps up its own maintenance. Three things happen that are relevant here:

  • Autophagy rises. Cells break down damaged internal components and reuse the parts. This is housekeeping, and it winds down once you eat again.
  • Insulin falls, then rebounds. Sensitivity is at its best in the days after a fast, which is precisely when what you eat matters most.
  • Fat stores are mobilised. Whatever was stored in adipose tissue comes out with the fatty acids.

The recovery window is where each of those either consolidates or reverses. That is the honest basis for grouping these products by phase rather than listing them as a shop shelf.

The refeeding window

The first 72 hours after you eat again — the part of a long fast that actually carries risk.

Lactoferrin

Abeytu´ Naturals — stocked by Cellular Science

Iron-binding glycoprotein

The gut barrier is at its most permeable when food returns after a long fast. That is the same window the refeeding guide spends most of its time on.

The weeks after

Once you are eating normally, and the metabolic gains are either kept or lost.

InsuLess

Abeytu´ Naturals — stocked by Cellular Science

Sublingual MicroSomal™ tincture

Insulin sensitivity peaks in the days after an extended fast, and it is the single easiest gain to squander in the first fortnight of eating normally again.

Novalytic

Abeytu´ Naturals — stocked by Cellular Science

Senolytic enzyme complex

Fasting clears damaged components inside cells through autophagy. Senolytics aim at a neighbouring problem — cells that have stopped dividing but have not died. Same housekeeping theme, different mechanism.

During the fast itself

Included for completeness. Electrolytes are the only thing in this category that matters.

Toxin Mobilisation Binder

Abeytu´ Naturals — stocked by Cellular Science

Binder formulation for the mobilisation phase

Extended fasting mobilises what is stored in fat. A binder is the conventional pairing for that phase.

Before you add anything at all

Supplements interact with medication, and the period right after an extended fast is not the moment to find that out. If you take anything on prescription, ask your GP or pharmacist first.

Nothing on this page is medical advice, and none of it substitutes for refeeding correctly — which remains the single most important thing you do after a long fast.

Get the fundamentals right first

Refeeding safely matters more than anything on this page.
