SMS coach & message help

Free opt-in support, clear controls, and help when a message is missing.

Support, not supervision: SMS reminders and AI replies are educational. The service does not monitor your health and cannot tell you a fast is safe. Do not wait for a reply in a medical emergency.

What the service does

Scheduled reminders

Messages associated with the plan you choose when you enrol. They are separate from a conversation with the coach.

Replies to your questions

AI-generated educational responses when you message the coach. A reply does not by itself confirm that scheduled reminders are active.

The website currently offers SMS enrolment as a free service. Standard mobile network charges may apply when you send a text; check your mobile plan. Buying a supplement is not required.

How to enrol

  1. Open the calculator and complete the required fields to view your educational results.
  2. Find the SMS support panel, check the selected plan length and enter your mobile number.
  3. Read the consent wording and privacy policy, then opt in only if you want the messages.
  4. Read the on-screen confirmation. Keep it and the sender details so you can manage the service later.

The selected number of days is a message-plan setting, not medical approval to fast for that duration.

Manage your messages

You want toWhat to do
End SMS messagesReply STOP to a reply-capable sender, or use the opt-out instructions in the message.
Pause or resume remindersUse PAUSE or RESUME on a reply-capable number. RESUME keeps the original dates and cannot undo a STOP opt-out.
Opt back in after STOPReply START or UNSTOP from the same phone. This can resume remaining eligible messages in an unexpired plan; read the confirmation.
Check the scheduleReply STATUS or DAY to a reply-capable sender.
Get the available controlsReply HELP. If the sender cannot accept replies, use the support email below.
Start a new plan after one has endedReturn to the enrolment form, choose the intended plan and give consent again. Do not assume that a conversation restarts a completed plan.

Messages stopped before the end of your plan?

  1. Check your confirmation: make sure the number and selected plan length were correct.
  2. Check your phone: look in blocked senders or filtered/spam messages and confirm you have mobile service.
  3. Check the last service reply: reminders may have been paused or stopped. A safety-related pause should be discussed with your clinician before considering another fast.
  4. Ask us to investigate: include the enrolment date, intended plan length, last message date and whether coach replies still arrive. Avoid sending medical records or payment details.
Email SMS support

START and RESUME do not extend the original dates, replay old messages, restart a finished plan or override a pause for a health concern. Read the confirmation. Scheduled messages observe quiet hours from 22:00 to 07:00 London time. If there are no future reminders or no confirmation arrives, contact support or enrol explicitly in a new plan when appropriate.

If you feel unwell

Call 999 for chest pain, severe breathlessness, collapse, a seizure or sudden confusion. For urgent concerns that are not emergencies, contact your clinician or NHS 111. Read our stopping and symptom guidance.
